Call for Journal Editor for AAPT Studies in Pedagogy
The Editorial Board of the American Association of Philosophy Teachers Studies in Pedagogy is currently looking for a Journal Editor. The five-year term would begin in February.
The Journal Editor has the following duties:
a) chairs the Editorial Board, which meets in the first and third quarters of the year;
b) works with the Editorial Board to develop multi-year plans for direction of the journal;
c) develops the operating policies and procedures in consultation with the Editorial Board;
d) ensures that the volumes cohere to the policies and procedures determined by the Editorial Board, which includes being responsible for maintaining consistency between volumes;
e) finds volume editors and actively works with and supports the volume editors, and is ready to perform their duties if necessary;
f) performs final copy edits each issue;
g) handles journal correspondence; and
h) liaisons with our publisher, Philosophy Documentation Center.
